๐Ÿงช Detailed Selection Process for BHEL Artisan Grade-IV Recruitment 2025

  • The recruitment is structured as a Two-Tier Selection Process, aimed at identifying the most competent candidates for Artisan roles across various BHEL units.
  • ๐Ÿ”น Stage I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
  • All eligible candidates will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT) specific to their trade. The key highlights are:
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Test Mode: Online (CBT)
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Trade-Specific Syllabus: Based on prescribed NCVT curriculum for the respective trade.
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Shortlisting Protocol:
  • The shortlisting from CBE to Skill Test stage is executed in two phases:
  • Unified Merit Screening:
  • All UR, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST candidates who do not avail relaxation will be grouped together.
  • They are ranked in descending order of marks scored in CBE.
  • Top candidates are shortlisted in 1:5 ratio (i.e., five candidates per vacancy in their trade and unit) for UR category.
  • Category-Specific Re-Shortlisting:
  • Remaining candidates who could not qualify under UR, but belong to reserved categories, are grouped into their respective categories (EWS/OBC/SC/ST).
  • Shortlisting continues in 1:5 ratio within each category.
  • ๐Ÿ”“ Relaxation Criteria for PwD and Ex-Servicemen:
  • These candidates benefit from relaxed qualifying marks to be eligible for Skill Test shortlisting:
  • UR/EWS: Minimum 30 marks in CBE
  • OBC/SC/ST: Minimum 22.5 marks in CBE
  • ๐Ÿ”น Stage II: Skill Test & Document Verification
  • This stage confirms candidate eligibility and practical skills:
  • ๐Ÿ“‘ Document Verification:
  • All shortlisted candidates must undergo document scrutiny.
  • Documents checked include: educational certificates, caste certificates, experience format (if applicable), ID proofs, etc.
  • Any discrepancy leads to disqualification from further stages.
  • ๐Ÿงช Skill Test:
  • Trade-specific hands-on practical test.
  • Conducted under supervised conditions at BHEL units.
  • Qualifying Nature: This test doesn’t impact final ranking but must be cleared to be considered for merit.
  • ๐Ÿ Final Merit Preparation
  • Only CBE scores are considered for final merit listing.
  • Candidates who clear both Skill Test and Document Verification are ranked in order of their CBE marks.
