The Ministry of Railways has released the Centralised
Employment Notice (CEN) No. 08/2025 for recruitment in Isolated
Categories across Indian Railways. This notification offers opportunities
in law, translation, publicity, welfare, science, and laboratory fields.

💰 Examination Fee – RRB CEN 08/2025
Candidates applying for posts under Isolated Categories
must pay the examination fee as per their category.
Fee Structure
- General
/ OBC Candidates: ₹500
- SC
/ ST / PwBD / Women / Transgender / EBC / Minorities: ₹250
Refund Policy
- After
appearing in the Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates eligible for
concession will get a refund of ₹250 back to their bank account.
- For
General/OBC candidates, ₹400 will be refunded after appearing in
CBT (i.e., net fee ₹100).
Modes of Payment
- Online:
Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI
- Offline:
SBI Challan / Post Office Challan (where applicable)
📝 Selection Process – RRB CEN 08/2025
The recruitment will be conducted
in multiple stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to move forward.
1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Single
Stage CBT for all posts.
- Objective
type questions with multiple choice answers.
- Negative
marking: 1/3rd marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- CBT
may be held in single or multi‑stage mode depending on RRB
requirements.
2. Translation Test (TT) – Only
for Junior Translator (Hindi)
- Candidates
shortlisted up to 10 times the vacancies will be called for TT.
- Test
will check translation skills between Hindi and English.
- All
candidates scoring equal to the cut‑off will be called, even if the number
exceeds 10 times vacancies.
3. Document Verification (DV)
- Shortlisting
for DV will be based on merit in CBT (and TT where applicable).
- Candidates
must produce original certificates for age, education, caste/category,
medical fitness, etc.
- Any
mismatch or false information will lead to cancellation of candidature.
4. Medical Examination
- Conducted
as per post‑specific medical standards (C1, C2, B1).
- Candidates
found medically unfit will not be offered alternate posts.
5. Final Allotment
- Based
on merit, medical fitness, and candidate’s post/RRB preference.
- Appointment letters issued by respective Zonal Railways/Production Units.

1. What is the last date to apply?
👉 The last date for
online application submission is 29 January 2026 (23:59 hrs).
2. Can I apply to more than one RRB?
👉 No. You can apply to only
one RRB. Multiple applications will lead to rejection and debarment.
3. What is the application fee?
👉General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after CBT, net ₹100)
- SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Transgender/EBC/Minorities:
₹250 (full refund after CBT)
4. Will candidates awaiting final results be eligible?

Letters) will be available for download from the official RRB websites
only.
8. Can I change my exam centre?
👉 No. Requests for change
of exam centre will not be entertained.
9. Will SC/ST candidates get travel benefits?
👉 Yes. Eligible SC/ST
candidates can avail free sleeper class railway pass for travel to exam
centres (with valid caste certificate).
10. How many vacancies are there in total?
👉 A total of 312
vacancies across all RRBs.
