Engineering Research Institute has

Selection Process for Junior Secretariate Assistant: For
the selection of JSA there will be a computer based multiple choice objective
type written test and skill test of English Typing @ 35 w.p.m.
Or Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. It is
important to note that at the time of applying for the post of JSA the candidates
have to give option of Hindi or English typing. The structure of written test for JSA is as

The written test for the post of JSA will be in two parts in Paper I there will be mental ability test which will consist 100 questions of 2 marks which included General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Situational Judgment etc. The duration of the paper will be 90 minutes.
The
second paper will of 60 minutes and subject in the second paper will be general
awareness and English language. The details of the examination structure is given
in the official notification.
Selection Process for Junior Stenographer: For
the selection of Junior Stenographer there will be written test and skill test
of stenography of English or Hindi language appliable as per option given by
the candidates. The written test will be
computer based of multiple choice objective test and the
written test consist General Intelligence and reasoning and General awareness and English Language. Apart from this the candidates had to pass the
English or Hindi shorthand test @80 w.p.m. and the dictation will be of 10
minutes. For English shorthand the candidates have to
transcript the shorthand dictation in 50 minutes whereas for Hindi test the
candidates have to transcript the dictation within 65 minutes. The formula of mistakes concession is applicable
as per rules and regulations and for details the candidates must go through the
official notification.

& JSA Recruitment 2025: What is the pay and emoluments
If any
candidate is selected for the post of JSA or Stenographer he/she will be
entitled for the basic pay as mentioned in summary view apart from usual
allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport
Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the central government employees and as
made applicable to CSIR. The selected candidates will also eligible for accommodation of their
entitled type as per CSIR Residence Allotment Rules depending on availability,
in this case HRA will not be admissible.
