State Bank of India (SBI), recognised as World’s Best Consumer Bank 2025 and Best Bank in India 2025 by Global Finance, is inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Circle Based Officers. Selected candidates will be posted in the applied Circle only.

Total Vacancies: 2050 Regular + 223 Backlog = 2273

Example Breakdown:

Amaravati Circle (Andhra Pradesh): 97 Regular + 1 Backlog
Bengaluru Circle (Karnataka): 200 Regular + 11 Backlog
Lucknow Circle (Uttar Pradesh): 200 Regular + 20 Backlog
Chennai Circle (Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry): 165 Regular + 37 Backlog

👉 Candidates can apply for only one Circle and must be proficient in the local language of that Circle.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.
Professional qualifications like Medical, Engineering, CA, Cost Accountant are also eligible.

Age Limit (as on 31.12.2025)

Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 30 years
Born between 01.01.1996 and 31.12.2004 (inclusive).

Age Relaxation

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC (NCL): 3 years
PwBD: 10–15 years (depending on category)
Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank.
Candidates from private banks must show minimum annual gross salary of ₹9.5 lakh per year with proof.

Local Language Requirement

Must be proficient (reading, writing, understanding) in the local language of the Circle.
Candidates with 10th/12th mark sheet showing the language as a subject are exempted from the language test.

♿ Reservation for PwBD

4% horizontal reservation as per RPwD Act 2016.
Categories include: Blind/Low Vision, Hard of Hearing, Locomotor Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (Mild), Multiple Disabilities.
Candidates eligible for scribe facility will get 20 minutes extra per hour in exams.

⚠️ Important Notes

Candidates working in SBI (clerical/supervisory cadre) or who resigned from officer grade in SBI are not eligible.
OBC candidates must produce valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate (NCL) issued between 01.04.2025 and interview date.
EWS candidates must produce valid Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2024-25.
Government/PSU employees must submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) at interview.
Candidates with loan defaults or adverse CIBIL reports are not eligible.
